What is Tailwinds Golf, and why now?

I'm blessed to have stood on a lot of fairways.

But standing on the 15th at Royal Portrush, with the Skerries sitting in the Atlantic beyond the green and the sun going down behind all of it, I had a moment of complete stillness. It was the kind you don't plan for and can't manufacture. The kind that makes you want to bring everyone you love to a place like this.

That's why I built Tailwinds Golf.

My name is Jon Banack. I'm a career marketer and creative who has worked around the world with global brands. By training I'm a producer, and my expertise is in managing complex film and TV productions while delivering a world-class product.

But for over 20 years, long before Tailwinds existed, I was the person in my circle who planned the golf trips. I chose the destinations, booked the courses, figured out the logistics, herded the group, and made sure everyone went home with a story worth telling.

I was doing it anyway. Eventually it made sense to do it for everyone.

Tailwinds Golf is a boutique golf travel concierge. We build trips for golfers with a sense of adventure. We build trips for people who want to seek out and play the best courses in the world, while experiencing the best that each destination has to offer.

Every trip raises the same questions:

Where should we go? 

Which courses should we play, and in what order? 

How do we get around on the ground? 

Where should we eat? 

What's worth doing when we're not on the course?
